Inkling Squid adds more challenges in Splatoon that reward the player with exclusive gear and Squid Beats to play on the arcade machine when completed. It adds an item in Hyrule Warriors. It can be used in Mario Party 10 daily to unlock a scratch card that gives the player Mario Party points. It can also be used in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to give the player more lives.

Appearance

Inkling Squid is a light green arrow-head squid. It has gray/blue eyes that have a black outline around them. The mouth area and tentacles of the squid grade into a dark green gradient; the tentacles have light screen spots around the gradient.

Offical Description

In the game Splatoon, the main characters, Inklings, can instantly transform into squids! We’re not sure what marvel of anatomy allows them to perform this majestic feat, but it sure is sweet. In squid form, Inklings can swim in any surface they’ve splattered with ink, even up walls! They can also hide from opponents by submerging in ink and keeping still. How cool is that?

Trivia

  • This was the first amiibo figure that is not available to purchase à la carte, as it is only available in the 3-Pack or the Splatoon bundle. However, it has always been available as a standalone in Japan, and Europe received some standalone figures.
