When scanned into Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, this figure (called a FP (figure player)) can be fought against or fought with. One can level this figure player up from one to fifty, and teach it how to fight. It inherits the skills that one teaches it. The figure can inherit both good and bad habits. Figure players pick up custom equipment, moves and trophies during matches, more so than human players.
When scanned into Mario Kart 8, this figure permanently unlocks a Mii Racing Suit for one's Mii. This outfit can be used in all single player modes, as well as the online mode. Once scanned, this figures effects are permanent.
When scanned into Hyrule Warriors, this figure unlocks various items, weapons and also gives the user a random amount of rupees. This figure can only be scanned in once per day.

When scanned into Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, this figure can be trained and can help players in Knockout Challenge and online play. When it levels up after completing a set amount of matches, a random stat out of the eight stats get enhanced. In addition, each stat has its own slot limitations: for example, the figure cannot have more than three speed stats in their inventory. Once all ten stat slots are filled, the figure cannot obtain any more stats, though players can remove gained stats for a fee of 5,000 coins, so the slot can be filled by another stat.
