Mr. Game & Watch is an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. This figure was revealed on June 14, 2015 and was released on September 25, 2015. In North America, it was released in a Retro 3-Pack with R.O.B and Duck Hunt. It is exclusive to GameStop (US) and EB Games (CAN).

Mr. Game & Watch has a humanoid appearance, he is monochrome and two-dimensional due to the LCD display of the Game & Watch, his console of origin. He also has a big nose and mouth. He also has no fingers on his hands.

Description

This monochrome, two-dimensional hero represents the handheld Game & Watch series, first released in 1980. More recently, Mr. Game & Watch can be found using his retro fighting moves to battle foes in the Super Smash Bros. series of games.

Trivia

  • He is the only character so far to have more than one pose for its amiibo, as you can swap out between his character select look, and some of his special moves like his Judge attack displaying a "9," his Parachute move, and his pose from Brawl, which is of him ringing a bell.
  • Due to his different pose gimmick, he is the first amiibo to look like his Brawl pose.
