Description (NES Colors)Edit

The R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy) was a toy accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Nintendo Family Computer (Famicom), and worked with 2 games. The R.O.B. has since made several cameo appearances in other games and media and become a veteran fighter since Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Description (Famicom Colors) Edit

R.O.B. sporting his Famicom colors. This robotic operating buddy was released in 1985 as an accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System™. R.O.B. introduced a new and unique way for players to interact with games. In recent years R.O.B.'s appeared as a playable character in multiple games, including Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, using projectile weapons to attack and a rocket base to fly through the air.

  • The R.O.B. amiibo figure is the first in the entire Super Smash Bros line of figures to have a regional difference, or 2 variations by default. The different variations are based off of the Famicom and NES. He is now available with both regular and Famicom colors in North America.
  • Unlike Bayonetta, Cloud, and Corrin, R.O.B.'s alternate version is not called "Player 2." Additionally, he is the only one not to be a DLC character.
